New burning ordinance

Effective March 13, 2023, the burning of yard waste will be prohibited in the R-3 and R-4 zoning districts.

The burning of rubbish is prohibited throughout the township.

Other general restrictions apply. There are exceptions for cooking and the burning of wood for limited recreational/religious/ceremonial uses.

These prohibitions are authorized by ordinance number 250 of 2023 that was passed on March 8th. This ordinance consolidates older ordinances into one ordinance and is now the burning ordinance for the township.
