   Public meeting next Monday, March 14 at 7:00 PM
at the Tilden Township Municipal Building

This is the first public meeting being held to determine the location of the future SRT sections between Reading and Hamburg.   The Consultant Team for this Feasibility Study will be leading the public meeting/workshop.  This section of the trail will be part of the connection that links Schuylkill County and Berks County – and will join the existing SRT running through Hamburg and meeting the Bartram Trail at the Kernsville Recreation Area.

NOTICE OF HEARING

TO ALL RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF TILDEN TOWNSHIP, BERKS COUNTY:

Joseph Tetz, whose property is located at 525 Mountain View Drive, Tilden Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania in a residential district, has applied for a variance from and special exception pursuant to the Tilden Township Zoning Ordinance to conduct at and in proximity to an existing building and proposed addition events and demonstrations related to agricultural practices and activities.

Hearing on the application will be held at 7:00 p.m. on March 3, 2022 at the Tilden Township Municipal Building, 874 Hex Highway, Hamburg, PA.  You may attend and shall be heard.

Any person wishing to attend who requires an auxiliary aid or service should contact the Township office at 610-562-7410 not less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled hearing.

All dogs three months and older are required to be licensed.
Annual licenses expire December 31 each year. 
Violators can be cited with a maximum fine of $300 per violation plus court costs.
An annual license is $8.50 and a lifetime license is $51.50.
If the animal is spayed or neutered, the annual fee is $6.50 and lifetime is $31.50.
Discounts are available to older adults and people with disabilities.

New municipal office hours

Effective January 2022, the Tilden Township municipal office will be open to the public for township business from Monday through Thursday 8am-4pm. The township office will not be open to the public on Fridays.

 

As of Monday, January 10, the township office will be reopened. We want to thank everyone for their patience.

Attention residents.
 
The Tilden Township office at 874 Hex Highway will be open on Tuesday, 1/4/2022 10am to 1pm and Wednesday 1/5/2022 10am to 2pm. The hours will continue to be limited due to ongoing fulltime office staff illnesses.
