Community Survey

The Northern Berks municipalities (Hamburg Borough, Perry Township, Shoemakersville Borough, Tilden Township, Upper Bern Township, Upper Tulpehocken Township, and Windsor Township) have started the process of updating their existing regional joint comprehensive plan of 2005.

 

The planning committee in conjunction with the Hamburg Area School District and the Berks County Planning Commission would like to solicit input from you regarding what you view as important for the region moving forward into the future. Your feedback is important!

2021 OPEN POSITIONS

 

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS OF TILDEN TOWNSHIP

 

Tilden Township has the following positions available for 2021.

 

Planning Commission member – volunteer

 

Zoning Hearing Board member – $50.00 per Hearing

 

Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) – volunteer – (4 openings)

 

Emergency Management Coordinator – volunteer – certification required

    (This position is not required to be a resident of Tilden Township)

 

 

Anyone interested in any of these positions, please contact the Township office @ 610-562-7410. Applications need to be submitted to the Township Manager by October 9, 2020. They can be dropped off Monday-Friday, between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm.

 

Tilden Twp building and police dept lobby access

06/03/2020

 

Due to Berks County moving into the yellow phase this Friday, 06/05/2020, the Tilden Township building lobby and police department lobby will be reopened for visitors this Friday morning.

 

Visitors are requested to wear a mask, which covers nose and mouth, and observe social distancing.

 

If you have a medical condition that prevents you from wearing a mask, you may enter the township building or police department without wearing a mask.

 

You are not required to identify your medical issue or produce any documentation of your medical condition to any township employees.

2020 General Election

The township has received questions regarding whether the township building would be open as a polling place for the 2020 GENERAL PRIMARY election on 06/02/2020.

 

The answer is YES.

 

The Berks County Office of Election Services will be releasing information regarding social distancing and masks when voting.

 

If you want to vote in person, your polling place will be OPEN on 06/02/2020.

 

If you want to vote by a absentee ballot online, click here BY 05/26/2020 AT 5PM.
